Home is not a place…it’s a feeling.

John Denver: Back Home Again

From April 2014 until January 2023, there was always a vineyard in my region. I then moved to a homestead, and while I tried to build a vineyard, I just couldn’t do it justice with the land impact available. Due to extenuating circumstances, I let the homestead go at the end of September 2024 and leased a 30K land impact region again. It was the best decision ever!

My first serious build was Lost Horizon. It was a beautiful build, and I was so proud of myself. While the vineyard took up less than one-quarter of the region, it was still a lovely site.

My next build, in 2016, was my most ambitious. Petit Lac Des Cygne was a French chateau at the foot of the Pyrenees Mountains. The build had a backstory; this is the first region open to the public. Several articles were written on my much-loved region, one of which was written by Inara Pey. In March 2020, I let the area go and leased a different region.

Little Swan Lake was located in my adopted state of Indiana, which boasts over 100 wineries. The vineyard grew with this build, taking up almost two-thirds of the region. Another beautiful region that garnered one of Madpea’s Cupid Catastrophe 2022 hunt’s top locations. It was January of 2023 that I let the area go and leased a homestead.

I missed my vineyard terribly, and due to circumstances beyond my control, I once again took the plunge in late September 2024 and leased a region. I haven’t looked back. A River Runs Through It Vineyard is again set in Indiana. Eventually, I will open it to the public, but it is nowhere near ready. This is where I belong. Once again, I am filled with joy and peace in my heart.

Most of the builds can be found on my Flickr, and all of the builds can be found here in blog articles.

Be kind to one another. Find joy in all that you do. Till we meet again♥
