It’s been a good while since I posted to my blog. 2025 was a busy year for me.

After caring for my invalid mother for 7 years, she was promoted in October of 2025 and now sits at our Lord and Savior’s table. The last year was difficult for her and for me. None of my siblings helped all those years, but my children, and especially my husband, jumped right in and helped. It took a toll on my body, and my mental health began to suffer near the end, but I would do it all again. I made her a promise when my father passed away that she would never see the inside of a nursing home. I kept that promise.

The last few months, I have been in recovery mode. The holidays were a bit sad, but we all knew that she was in a much better place. Now that a new year has started, I have taken the time to seriously consider what it is I want to do. I took a sabbatical from my job in the medical field when my mother moved in with us. After much consideration, I am not going back. I have several options to consider, and I am blessed to have so many.

I wasn’t sure I wanted to continue with my blog, photography, and even Second Life, for that matter. In the end, I love it too much to give any of it up. So, without too much fanfare, I am resurrecting my blog and my photography. I have never been one to apply to creators to blog for. I am not going to start now. I have an extravagant amount of LaraX clothing that I haven’t even worn yet. I didn’t make any New Year’s resolutions, but I am cutting back on what I purchase. Since the New Year, I have bought two things. Totally out of character for me. My wallet thanks me. LOL.
