Subtle Shifts

When it is time for something new, you will feel it. You will feel a desire to let go, to shed layers, to move, to re-create. You will know because there will be subtle shifts all around you. You will release the old because you are really clearing the path for what’s ahead. Trust this process. Know that life does not take from us anything unless there is something else imminently awaiting its replacement.

This new look for Cougar has been a work in progress. Over the last few months, I’ve been methodically updating Cougar’s look. Trying several heads, I finally settled on Avalon by LeLutka. Several skin creators were utilized over a few months, with The Skinnery being the current choice, for now. Four years. It was time.

While change can be good, I tend to drag my feet somewhat. Updating, instead of a complete makeover, is my preferred method. IKON did not have my former eye color in an HD applier for EVOx, and the eyebrows are from Nuve. Other than those two items, it was just a process of tweaking the head shape here and there. Cougar’s body shape was tweaked as well. Always a work in progress Cougar is taking an extended holiday from updates, for now. Maybe.

Be kind to one another. Till we meet again. ♥

The Sound Of Music

I simply remember my favorite things, and then I won’t feel so sad. Rodgers &Hammerstein

Joanne Pemberton-Longman was a painter hailing from the United Kingdom. Born in the year 1918 she died in 1973. The above painting in the photo is titled The Sound of Music, one of my favorite things.

The painting hangs in my dining room, and passing by it several times during my day always brings a smile to my face. I’ve always wondered why the artist named the painting as she did, and in my search for a quote to begin this post, I came across one attributed to Robin Williams. Do you know what music is? God’s little reminder that there’s something else besides us in this universe; harmonic connection between all living beings, everywhere, even the stars. So, maybe, just maybe, the lady in the painting is looking up to the heavens and thanking God for the music that surrounds her every day.

Be kind to one another. Till we meet again…
