She Who Loves The Beach

No words can express the depth of her contentment as she walks along the beach. As the waves lap against the shores they create the rhythm of her life. Balmy breezes kiss her sun-bronzed skin, and she wonders… could there ever be a greater destiny than to be born with a love for the treasures of the sea? Here she is home.

Surfer’s Bay: Have a listen

I was born under the sign of Aquarius, so it should come as no surprise I have an affinity for water. My region Little Swan Lake is located in the mountains, and while peaceful, it is nowhere near the ocean. When the sound of waves kissing the shoreline beckons me, I head to Surfer’s Bay. It’s a beautiful region, with numerous areas for photo opportunities. One can usually find me sitting quietly on a lounger near the water’s edge listening to the relaxing soundscape.

Imagine my surprise when Duncan Blackburn, owner of Surfer’s Bay IM’d me asking if I would be the September Bay Girl. I about fell out of my lounger. Me? Of course, I said yes. As I had never posed for anyone, I was apprehensive about doing a photoshoot, but it turned out to be a pleasant experience. The photo above was taken by me a few days later.

Inspiration comes in many forms.  For me, it might be a song, a painting, a pose, a mood, Henry, or a plethora of other inspirational forms.  I get inspired by just the air I breathe.

The photo above was taken at Petit Lac Des Cygne. I wanted to do a photograph that incorporated rain, and I was not about to go to an adult region without Henry.  So, I did due diligence and invested in a weather system.  While I still have much to learn, I’m especially happy with the way this particular shot turned out.

Au Naturale or barely clad photo sessions are my favorites to create as long as they are done in good taste.  If you are interested, you can see more here at my Flickr.  Safety level has to be set to moderate or restricted to view though.
