It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop. ~ Confucious
The last photo for my blog before the renovations began to Lost Horizon was August 19. As I compose this post it is November 22.
Four months have been spent terraforming, planting, painting, scouting yard sales, events and even my inventory to bring a vision to life. At one point in the beginning I had all the terraforming done, didn’t like it, leveled the land and began again. Looking at an empty region I began to wonder what on earth I had gotten myself into. Maybe I had bitten off more than I could chew.
It was Henry who asked the question “What is your vision; the story you want to convey”? I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, thought for a moment and replied “I went out exploring one day and happened upon an old manor house in disrepair. Having fallen in love with the place at first sight I wanted to lovingly restore the house and grounds to their former glory”. “Then build that” he replied. And so it began…
Once the terraforming was laid out creating the entrance/landing point and ancient forest began. Let me say right now…one can easily get lost in the forest. I know, as I have on many an occasion and had to cam out to get my bearings lol. The forest has that feeling of being present at the dawn of time. Very old, very magical and its canopy protects all who dwell under it. If one does not want to get lost, stay on the broken stone path and you will come to a clearing that looks out over the main house and grounds.
Not giving anything else away. You will have to come and explore Lost Horizon for yourself. Lots of little areas to sit and relax, and a multitude of photo opportunities await. I will say this: the region is lush in its environment and may tax some computers. My ABC horses are up in a skybox, but still, they tend to play havoc and create lag for some, and of course my cougars roam free and just love to run rough shod over guests. You have been warned.
For the duration of OPEN HOUSE the region has been set to GENERAL so everyone, and I do mean everyone can enjoy it. HERE”S YOUR TAXI
Open house runs through December 13th and then reverts back to a private region. Be kind to one another. TWMA♥
Can’t wait to visit Cougar. I know it will be stunning!
