More real peace comes from a single garden than from all the gun barrels of the world.  Doug Green

One of my favorite pastimes be it 1st or 2nd life is digging in dirt, which goes hand in hand with my love for architecture.  I love old things and have spent many an hour browsing in antique shops, flea markets and walks around historic districts just admiring and wondering about the history of those old things.

In Second Life I can browse on Marketplace, dig in pixel dirt or take a meander around many of the established communities one can find here.  It was on Marketplace that I discovered the Palladian Bridge which is a replica of one at Wilton House located near Wiltshire, England.  I erected the bridge, did some editing and lived with it for while before deciding it didn’t quite feel right.  So a couple of days ago I went back to Marketplace and bought the Catherine the Great version, erected it and still something seemed amiss.   Doing a bit of research on the internet I discovered what I felt to be wrong with the newest version…It was just too white.   So I melded the two bridges together and after adding another section of walkways and stairs at one end I am happy with the finished result.  I intend to spend many a peaceful moment here.  Be kind to one another.  TWMA♥
