Never have I been an aficionado of coffee. Back in the day, when I was just a teenager, I experimented with the much-touted “get me started in the morning” drink. Trying it all ways—black, with sugar, with sugar and cream, with just cream—I always gagged when the liquid touched my lips and couldn’t even get one swallow down. Then, fast forward to the resort where we honeymooned, where tea was served every day. I gave it a go and promptly fell in love. My favorite is Twinnings Irish Breakfast tea. Unfortunately, at the time, this brand was hard to come by in my area. I finally found it at a major department store in the housewares section. Then, eureka, the World Wide Web came along! Where have you been all my life? Of course, I now order my tea in bulk. This gal can’t have enough.

In Second Life, I fell in love with a build from MESHWORX, The Aviary. Having used it in a previous build, I decided to resurrect it for Belle Reve. It’s a stately build, reminiscent of days gone by. Hydrangeas and clematis by Half Deer and Prunus lanie by Konoha frame the entrance. Nothing was modified in this build except the flooring, where I opted for a favorite parquet. On the main floor, formal draperies with sheers hang at the windows, tables are set for two, with an intan nearby. Up the winding staircase, you will find an area devoted to tea, with tables again set for two and an intan as well. Lace curtains hang at the windows. Did I ever tell you that I love lace? The build is nestled beside Little Swan Lake, with an apple orchard nearby. Be mindful of the bees. Smiles. Belle Reve opens soon, and the stately lady waits patiently for you.

Oh! How do I take my tea? With raw, unfiltered, organic honey, of course.
