Do I want a glass of wine? You bet Shiraz I do.

Back in 2024, when I let a homestead go and leased a region, I named it ‘A River Runs Through It’. I searched for wine bar names, and the one that stuck out the most to me was Poured Decisions. When I let the leased region go in early 2026 and bought a region from Linden Labs, the name remained. The build on the leased region was more modern in design, and while lovely, it was not what I had in mind for Belle Reve. Since I was combining several past builds because I loved each one so much, I decided to use the Barnesworth Anubis Boseman Barn once again. It has the rustic feel I wanted, and just enough space to decorate it the way I envisioned.

The main room, with its soaring ceiling and loft area, is a large space but still gives an air of intimacy. The area in front of the fireplace is a place to sit and enjoy your favorite libation. The loft serves as a dining and wine tasting area, and most of the wines, charcuterie boards, and place settings are interactive or dispense your food or beverage choice, as are throughout Belle Reve.

The screened-in porch off to the right side of Poured Decisions is also furnished with dining and wine tasting choices.

The outdoor venue of Poured Decisions, accessible either off the porch or by walking around to the rear, also offers wine tasting and dining. Here you will also find an outdoor wood-fired stone pizza oven with a variety of pizza offerings, and a large dancing area with intan. You can play several different games at and near the bar. Wine and several other drink options are available as well.

Belle Reve, while a private residence, is open to the public 24/7. I love to landscape and decorate, then share it with the Second Life Community. Stop by, say hello if I am there, and please enjoy yourself.

There are so many beautiful things in this world, and remember, you are one of them.

♫ Jim Reeves: Welcome to My World ♫

Stepping out onto the front porch, she breathed in the early morning air. Southern Indiana was known for warm days and high humidity, and today would be no different. The sky was blue as cornflowers, and the clouds reminded her of cotton. No sign of rain, but that could change in an instant in the Ohio Valley.

She stepped off the porch and headed for the vineyard. The ground, still wet with morning dew, felt good on her bare feet as she inspected the vines. The foreman could do the job, but she was back, and this was her vineyard.

As she walked through the rows of vines, she couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of satisfaction at how well everything looked. It had been the right decision to leave an old family friend in charge while she was away. She had been gone so long, but Poured Decisions, The Aviary, and the rest of the outbuildings were well cared for, and the vineyard itself was thriving.

She stopped at the lake and decided to sit for a spell on the swing and watch the swans glide across the water. A trout jumped out of the water, then splashed back into the unknown. Birds flew overhead, butterflies fluttered, frogs croaked, and nearby she heard a bluebird and mourning doves. She smiled, having missed the sounds of her vineyard. Standing up from the swing, she started for the main entrance.

Crossing the covered bridge, she noticed the new wine tasting venue built to her specifications. It had been no easy task to be away while it was being built, yet she saw that all was as she wanted. She stepped back onto the road and continued to the main gate.

The “Welcome to Belle Reve Vineyard” sign, with white lettering, gave the impression of a state park. Well, it was her park, and she laughed as she opened the gate.  Turning a sign that read “We Are Open” around, she skipped back to Belle Reve, thinking to herself, “Yes indeed, it was good to be back home.”

Be kind to one another. Find joy in all that you do. Till we meet again♥

***After just shy of two years, which included almost opening back in March of this year on a leased region, then tearing it all down and starting again on a region that Grey and I purchased from Linden Labs, finally, we are now open. What took over a year and a half to complete in the leased region was completed in just over 3 months in the new region. Incorporating favorites from former builds with new favorites was one of the best decisions ever made.

***To those who visit, Grey and I welcome you to our world. We hope you return often to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere I have strived to create. Grey doesn’t have the patience I have for digging in pixel dirt. But he enjoys my efforts and, of course, directly benefits from those efforts. Winks.

***Please tag Belle Reve in any photos you may take. I would love to see and fave them. I am also setting up a Flickr group where you can post your snaps. I’m not sure how it works on Primfeed, SecondPix, or Instagram, as I am new to those sites, but I will figure it out. If all else fails, just send me a message on any of my socials or inworld.

***Please read the Covenant upon landing

Here is your ride: Belle Reve Vineyard
